Symptoms of High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure is one of the most common diseases
that people have. It is present in many people and they don't even realize
it. Blood pressure is something that nobody should have to deal with but
unfortunately they can't even figure out the cause of blood pressure, let alone
a way to cure it. One of the best things that you can do if you suspect that
you have high blood pressure is to go get it checked. Your doctor will
prescribe some medication or perhaps put you on a specialized diet along with
exercise in order to lower your blood pressure down to normal levels. But what
are the symptoms of high blood pressure?
The problem with high blood pressure is that there are
really no symptoms to speak of. There are some people that have symptoms that
range anywhere from headaches to nausea but more often than not, there simply
are not any symptoms of high blood pressure present. That is probably why they
call high blood pressure the silent killer. It does not really cause any
symptoms at all until you end up with a heart attack or stroke. Therefore, it
is important for you to make sure that you do not have high blood pressure by
checking it on a frequent basis.
Even if you do not go to the doctor on a regular basis to
have your blood pressure checked, there are plenty of other options for keeping
your eye on it. Although it is not as accurate as the doctors test, there are
plenty of self check stations that are available in many supermarkets and
drugstores. I know that I found out that my blood pressure was high by using
one of these machines.
If you are at special risk of high blood pressure, either
because you are overweight or because of family history then you should be
checked on a regular basis by a physician. If they discover that your blood
pressure is high they can neither prescribe medicine to lower it or else give
you a specialized diet in order to lower your blood pressure yourself.
